Terri Hutchison M.A., CCC-SLP – Speech Language Pathologist – President
Born and raised in Southern California, Terri brings over 16 years’ experience practicing speech language pathology. Her mission is to “Lift the Life Spirit of Those We Serve!”
Terri earned her B.A. in 1989 in Applied Psychology from California State University, Long Beach. She changed her educational direction after her son was screened by an SLP at his preschool. It was then, while busy raising a family, that she earned her M.A. in Communicative Disorders from the California State University, Fullerton in 2004.
Prior to founding Life Spirit Speech Pathology, Inc., Terri provided speech pathology services in a variety of educational settings, including several Southern California school districts. To this day, she gives back to the community still offering children’s screenings through local preschools, the place her journey began when her son was first screened for such interventions.
Terri has been a presenter on the topic of assessing and treating speech sound disorders, and several times a year carries out behavioral training courses she has developed for parents of children with special needs, including Autism, Communication Disorders, and Processing Disorders. She is an avid mentor to undergraduate and graduate interns from Chapman University’s Speech & Language Dept., and a preferred vendor for early childhood speech language services both through Regional Center of Orange County, and Easter Seals Southern California.
Terri holds current state licensing through California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board, Clinical Competency via American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), and American Hippotherapy Association Inc. (AHA)-Level II Equine Treatment Therapist, PATH International-Certified Instructor and Registered Therapist.
Angelique Scarantino M.S., CFY-SLP – Speech Language Pathologist
Angelique Scarantino is a licensed speech-language pathologist who recently graduated with her master’s in communication sciences and disorders from Chapman University.
Angelique grew up with a personal interest in working with people who have communication disorders. She believes that everyone is born with the right to effectively communicate their wants and needs to live a full and happy life.
Angelique always had a love for animals and grew up riding horses with her aunt. This sparked her interest in the use of equine therapy to stimulate verbal and nonverbal means of communication for those who are in need. Being born and raised in San Juan Capistrano and having a love for giving back to the community made joining Life Spirit Speech a perfect partnership.
